In line with our strategic sustainability goals defined in the 2023 Sustainability Report we have completed a number of transitional tasks to reduce our carbon footprint with the following areas of reduction.

We have reduced the amount of internal file sharing via email through the use of server content sharing. Server content sharing allows K2 to manage access via logins or passwords. This feature is vital for dealing with documents that have a high level of confidentiality. This also allows for multiple people to collaborate on projects.

We reviewed our website build with the goal of providing local in-country language content tailored to local culture and needs.
To determine the energy efficiency of our website configuration we used a website carbon calculator (websitecarbon.com). This led to us evaluating which of the different components of the website could be changed to reduce energy usage.
Current CO2 measurement for annual usage (based upon 10,000 visitors a month): 145.55kg.
We project that the marketing team’s daily
file share volume exceeded 200MB in 2022.
The implementation of Microsoft OneDrive file sharing has resulted in the removal of this excess volume. This reduction has led to annual savings of over 105kg of CO2, totalling 1,645kg in 2023.
We are actively engaged in refining our website infrastructure and optimizing visitor traffic to minimize inefficiencies and reduce carbon emissions.
